Great demonstration of "pseudospam" from ShadowLord.

I'm definitely trying to only post meaningful questions and comments, though, and the questions are all actual questions I had. (For example, I wouldn't post "How does combat work?" since I already know that from reading previews on the GalCiv II site)
So I found the GalCiv II wiki last night. Although at first glance it appears to have lots of information, the articles are actually pretty sparse. They seem to mostly be copies of text from previews on the GalCiv II site. Ah well... I had thought for a minute there that it would have the answers to the questions I had, but that wasn't the case.

I'd personally prefer if you kept all your questions in one thread though and try to clump them up into a single post. I try to keep track on every thread I've replied to and I'd like to keep the number down if possible without losing content.

Hmm. If someone is looking here for the answer to a question, wouldn't it be easier to find it if each question is in its own thread? Also if a question is buried in a post with half a dozen other questions, wouldn't it be more likely for one or more of those questions to be overlooked?
(Also I wondered if a post with multiple questions might end up being counted as a single question. If the folks keeping track of points were giving multiple points to posts with multiple questions or comments, that could get pretty complicated. How would they decide how many relevant comments a post contained? It'd be far easier to just give 1 point per post with a meaningful comment and 2 points per post asking a meaningful question about the game, etc. But I'm just guessing about how that's being handled, since the contest news post didn't elaborate on how multiple comments/questions in a single post would be treated.)

Shadowlord's questions have all been good ones, and I understand his concerns given the rules of the competition. Sure, it's a bit messy...but GalCiv2 discussions are ensuing, so mission accomplished!

LOL! I'm definitely the laziest gamer of the 3. I do eventually get around to agreeing with them 90% of the time, though, so reading that thread is a kind of choose your own adventure. If you just want to cut to the scene where all the GalCiv2 heroes are dead, read Sirian's stuff. If you want to be left on the edge of your seat seeing whether or not the hero's gasping words are his last, read Solver's stuff. If you want to read about the hero adventuring in the woods rather certain that a rather large animal is awaiting in the cave, read my stuff.
A week and more than forty participants later, the joint Apolyton Civilization Site (ACS) and Stardock Systems "The Galaxy is Listening" contest has come to an end. "We wanted to increase the exposure of GalCivII in the Apolyton community, and hopefully beyond, through this contest", reflects ACS Co-Owner/Administrator Daniel "DanQ" Quick. "I believe this was accomplished, and accomplished well -- even in instances where certain elements of this competition were challenged, there was almost universal agreement on this point. I'm not sure whether or not I want that pun pardoned, though..."
Winners will be contacted within the next few days; as first disclosed at this event's outset, those eligible for prizes from Stardock will have 72 hours after winning notifiation to supply their name, mailing address and primary telephone number for the company through Apolyton. Failure to do so will result in the 'next in line' for a prize being extended the opportunity instead. Those eligible for prizes from Apolyton will also be notified. For background information on the contest, click here.
A software development company founded by Wardell in 1991 and incorporated in 1993, Stardock Systems is based in Plymouth, Michigan. Founded in 1998 by Quick and Markos Giannopoulos, Apolyton Civilization Site is dedicated to continuing complete coverage of the most comprehensive collection of Civilization-related material on the Internet.
By the way, do you know when you're going to contact the winners? (I'm assuming it'll be by email to the email address in the winners' forum profiles?)
