New 360 looks great - but a shame if it's only available with a large hard drive. I have 20GB on my ageing 360 and 250GB on my PS3 slim and I hardly notice the difference. All my music/tv/films are on my PC and streamed to the PS3. Since they make you pay through the nose for console hard drive space it almost seems a waste.

On Kinect (ugh) I'm intrigued but am only going to be more than that once I see what is really means in terms of games.

Did you see the Forza on Kinect?

I'll wait to see how the games are for the new motion-control techs before investing in buying the tech, but it does look promising.

Wish we didn't have to wait until next year.

Anybody heard anything about Civ5 at E3 yet?

IGN posted an interview a few hours ago, nothing too interesting, but worth a quick read. http://pc.ign.com/articles/109/1096888p1.html

            Anybody excited about the 3ds?

Yes, it sounds interesting. The games lineup for release is full of interesting games. Too bad I don't have money for all that's looking good.

Cracked has an excellent, humourous summary of E3. The death of video gaming, they say.

                    A funny article.

Interesting that you are taking this so well though Asher. After all, the article suggests that Kinect is taking a lot from a console you dislike, and applying it to a console you love.

The earlier claims were that Natal would do motion controls so well it would avoid the gimmicky approach and 'controller breaks the game' shenanigans of the Wii. But not sure I believe that at this stage - after E3 it still looks more like MS shamelessly trying to cash in on the success of the Wii.

Stroking virtual cats isn't for me I'm afraid - bring on the real games.

Brilliant. This is what people wanted when the Wii came out. Lightsabres & force push, etc:

She's not actually controlling the character. The character is moving first and she is mimicking it. Deceptive demo.

It's not a demo, it's from the Cirque de Soleil show. It's a Cirque person doing the moving. There were no 360s actually used in the show.

Was taken out of context. It was part of a bunch of other videos also.

It'll be big. No matter how stupid it looks to you.
