Lucasarts and MS are developing a SW game for Kinect.

Brilliant. This is what people wanted when the Wii came out. Lightsabres & force push, etc:

The new UI for Kinect looks insane. Minority Report style gestures and voice recognition.

They also just announced ESPN is coming to the 360. Over 3500 live sporting events (in HD) in the first year it'll be available. Supports voice recognition to switch video feeds and everything. Also includes trivia (voice recognition support) while you're watching events, and stat overlays, etc...all also voice controlled.

Also, new Metal Gear Solid game for 360 (using Kinect). Halo Reach demoed, Gears of War 3 demoed, etc.

Edit: ESPN is free for Gold subscribers.

One of the games, Adventures, actually looks pretty original and fun for a party game. Reminds me of the japanese game show with human tetris in one part...now they're trying to collect coins while rafting, etc. Very pretty.

It also takes pictures of you at certain points like a ride on Disney Land. Creative.

If you're a masochist, the pictures can be posted to the web and facebook.

They're now demoing a 'game' by Ubisoft to take on Wii Fit (Yourshape Fitness Evolved).

It looks a helluva lot better than Wii Fit, but it's not my thing.

Leaked image of the Xbox 360 was correct.

They just unveiled the new Xbox 360. Smaller, 250GB HD, built in WiFi (802.11n)...angular. And much quieter, supposedly. $299

Shipping to retailers today, will be in stores this week. The whole audience at E3 just got one for free.

I put in a copy of Alan Wake and turned it on using the new touch-buttons... very similar to what you get with the PlayStation 3. The system was on, but it made almost no noise. The game loaded. Silent. I'm used to using my 360 in my home office hooked up to a computer monitor, where it sounds something like a jet taking off. This is bliss.

A new AV port in the back also cuts down on the wires when the Kinect is involved. Plug the Kinect into that port, plug the 360 into the wall, and you're all set up. Owners of the now-classic 360 will have to plug the Kinect into the wall using a separate outlet.

We were told the system has taken years to develop, and it shows: it's a thoughtful, refined system, and at $300 it's a good value. This is the 360 you've always wanted.

As expected, Sony just announced a new "premium" PSN called PSN Plus.

Exclusive digital content, preferered early demos, free content (themes minis, full PSN games), invitations to betas

$49.99/year...but all of the content you get as part of the subscription, you only own for the duration of the subscription. Stop subscribing, stop having access.

The crowd is not enthused at the conference...

Gabe Newell just announced Portal 2 is coming to the PS3. Talking about how they're transforming gaming as a product to gaming as a service, and apparently the PS3 excels here (huh?)

He says the PS3 version of Portal 2 will be the "best version" on any "console". It supports Steam Cloud for game saves.
