Is it better than the first one or Morrowind? Like Spike I stayed away from NWN2. I've been playing Morrowind, which fell to the wayside when I tried NWN, but it's pissing me off with bugs and whatnot.

It's not as good as the first one in my opinion (sequels never are) but it is still good and can be downloaded easily these days.

I've finally gotten to act 3. It has taken more time then I thought.

I seem to be having trouble with Garius during the battle of Cross Road Keep (my castle). I can't kill him no matter how long I attack him, the scroll of true names doesn't work on him, the reforged sword of gith doesn't do anything, so I don't know what to do. Is this a bug? I ask because the walk through says it was almost to easy to kill Garius but he never seems to die even after I've done thousands of HPs of damage to him; it just always says "near death".

I loaded a save and this time the cut scene fired as it was supposed to. It took most of today but I finally solved the original game and will now start on Mask of the Betrayer.

Mask of the Betrayer is turning out to be pretty boring.

What? The OC of NWN1 was horrible. NWN2's OC was quite enjoyable.

I actually did like the NWN2 OC though I remember, it has been years since I played it though, that NWN 1 was a whole lot of fun. The Barbarian who hid his pet gerbil in his ass (a dig at Richard Grere), the Kobald bard, etc... I thought there was a good amount of character interaction given the date the game was produced and the campaign was pretty easy to follow without any cheat books or anything. I can't say the same for MotB. I especially hate their "shadow world" idea because it's like the developer sat down and said "we only have enough money to do half of the art works so what do we do? I know! We'll just reuse the stuff we've already done but change the color to gray scale!" It's pretty obvious they pinched pennies and didn't put much thought into MotB. I'm hoping SoZ will be better.

I got fed up of the 'random encounters' in SoZ pretty fast.

Also, a bug in a quest forbade me from continuing the game,.

I haven't played SoZ yet but I would like to know if you were playing with the latest patch or if it was still broken.
