No, I'm not. But I can have fun even when games are not perfect. All games have bugs. PI games always have serious bugs, long into the game's life span. But know what? They are all very fun, although not always from the get go. Bugs or not. I even liked Civ3 when it came. I don't demand much. Only that I enjoy the game. Of the PI games, I didn't like EU3 when it came. It had so much potential to be fun, and it soon became VERY fun. But in the start it was überslow and a pain to play. I saw its potential though, and it soon shone. HoI3 was a mess unpatched. It was a mess with 1.1c. But with 1.2, it became fun. Big bugs, but it played well and fast, and I had a good time. What else is a game supposed to be?

Very slow, not quite as smooth of a game as the previous one. I am having a hell of a time keeping up with what headquarters controls what.

I purchased Hearts of Iron III when it was first released, applied the hotfix, patched it to 1.2, and have quit playing it until patch 1.3 goes live. Playing HoI3 in its present state is an exercise in futility.

That's what I've been saying. The game is just a crappy mess right now and I doubt 1.3 will fix it.

It's playable now, but frustrating. We'll have to wait for patch 1.4 before it's fully enjoyable as a game.

1.3 is just around the corner. It might just be what the game need. Saying we need to wait for another patch, before the third patch has come, is just plain stupid.

I saw the read me on the best v1.3 sr1 which was very long but was mostly easy little things which would have easily been caught if they did any beta testing what so ever. The fact is they didn't do a beta test though. Instead some of the programmers simply ran the game on the Paradox network (all the same machine, all high end machines, etc...) and they didn't even try to optimize it. The reason is the company needed the money badly and just pushed the beta out the door to start getting revenue expecting all of us to pay to beta. **** them. I won't buy any other their games on release any more and I've bought just about everything except Rome on release. I used to love their games but since Paradox Entertainment spun off Paradox Interactive the company has been hard of for cash and quality has crashed.

Lots of assumptions there. It's not like this is something new, all PI games have suffered under bad testing. Have you tried 1.3 btw?

That has got to be the funniest thing I have ever read.

Paradox is notorious for shipping betas as finished games. I have not bought any of their games within 1-2 years of release, and I never will. I just bought HOI2 Arma less than a year ago.
We're sorry, the voices in my head are not available at this time. Please try back again soon.

Just two months after launch HOI3 is now selling for $14.99 on Steam. That more then anything else shows just what a crap release this was from Paradox. This is the most botched launch I have ever seen.

                            1.3 is quite good.
