      MEGAQFT!!

Bioware makes this awesome to begin with and during the KOTOR period, there is far more ability for fun options.

I wonder how they'll balance the character classes, though.

I'm more concerned that we will never see KOTOR 3 because of this.

I just know the story backround will suck, can't they just set the KOTOR MMO during the Jedi Civil War?

That's an inherent problem with persistent worlds, AFAIK. Game designers just can't write a decent story for a persistent world. And I don't believe you can have a MMO without a persistent world. But maybe there's a way to design the game so that an interesting story somehow emerges from player interactions.

This is a very easy problem to fix: make everyone a Jedi.

Why don't you think it will be? Have they said that, story-wise, it's the sequel?

There is interesting stuff being done in EVE, with player empires, huge player companies and all. Or Bioware could always go the Guildwars route. I hear the main campaign is all instanced. But is Guildwars even an MMORPG?

Make everyone a Jedi, or a force-sensitive (other profession), ie Bounty Hunter; and make the Jedi's limited in their choices (lose jedi powers if they do overly evil or, if dark jedi, overly good things).

I am anticipating a WoW clone in a Star Wars wrapper.

                            Please prove me wrong.

I liked the concept they had in star wars galaxies concerning the entrepreneur class, or whatever it was. If they can make it so that players run the game and create the stories rather than developers, i'd be excited.

Probably true, since most successful MMOs are WoW clones.
