RTS and MMO wouldnt compete agst each other.

The problem with WoW and WC4 would be plot conflicts. They would need to find a way to incorporate WC4's major plot progressions into WoW. Maybe a big epic instance?

        Yep. I hear you.

I encountered all of the problems you mentioned, with the exception of the game-breaking bugs.

Bad camera, bad interface, dreadful hotkeys, occasional sluggish or broken graphics.

Hopefully any sequels or new D&D franchises will avoid all of these things, which really take away from the fun of the game.

        Frustration does not equal "challenging."
I just wish the toolset didn't work so slow and crash so much on my comp. The game plays fine, but the toolset struggles. Maybe that's a good thing as I don't really have the time to play with it.

Yeah, I would agree with that. The toolset issues have really prevented me from using it much at all.

No - that's entirely manageable if they wanted to go down that route. But as Zero said, WC4 wont happen for a few years because of SC2.

D3 (or D0) on the other hand... would not have that problem

Doesn't the Cavern of Time obviate all timeline concerns for other games? It is the ultimate deus ex machina afterall...

                  Well, I imagine so.

But WCIV would most likely move the plot ahead again -- I guess WoW could handle the stuff that happens in between, but it sort of feels like they might be hemming them in, unless they want the events of WCIV to also happen in WoW eventually.

Also, WCIV would have another earth-shaking war, so they'd need to implement some upgrades to WoW to be able to handle the increased load (if the idea is implemented as I postulated).

There's no sequel (or game) that can't be ruined. So there's no game I'd buy without researching it first. Caveat Emptor. The following sequels would/will warrant a hard look though:

                    Fallout 3
                    Fable 2 (for PC)
                    Baldur's Gate 3
Pool Manager - Lombardi Handicappers League - An NFL Pick 'Em Pool

Please, please, don't use the WCIV abbreviation, use WC4...make it easier to understand, this is a civ site after all...
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

Haha! Didn't even think of that. Guess WCIV would be "World of CivCraft" or some such.

But Spearmen would be the most powerful class.
