So you'd buy the game based on the presence of obscure landmarks...?
Id buy a sandbox game of NYC (under whatever name) based on whats in that sandbox, sure, among other factors.
Look, if you dont want to answer the question, or havent explored that part of the map, you dont have to answer you know.

Does this game ever get a semblance of a plot, or are you just running errands for ten different thugs the whole time?
not really much of a plot-more of a dating sim.
There is an ultimate plot-track down guy from past with a fairly mundane plot twist at the end, but its pretty weak. I'm not sure how/why people were comparing it to a masterpiece of the cinema, but whatever. I don't mind loose storylines having grown up on the NES, the gameplay is good enough for me to enjoy the game.

so this game takes place in NY huh? And you can go to Brooklyn, huh? Any, you know, scenes involving the relgious-ethnic group that dare not speak its name?
Yes. You'll be horrified to know that I splattered three fat Hasidic Jews who were unwisely holding some sort of pow wow in the middle of the arch near the park in central Broker. How were they to know that it was my planned escape route from a drug deal gone bad? Oy vey! It was a nice sideways sliding splat as well.
They don't even drop more money than the other ethnicities in the game. Realistic my ass.

The plot emerges over the course of the game. As you complete missions, Niko shares more of his backstory and earlier comments take on more significance. I'm on my second play through now (he first one I played as a man of peace - the second I have resolved to take no crap from anyone, so any pedestrian who calls me a name gets whacked).
I bought myself an XBox 360 so I can join the fuss.
I have a question about the GTA IV game, why are the tree shadows REALLY blurry? Everything else is fine, all my other games are crystal clear. But the shadows of the tree's (and among other things in GTAIV) are blurry and just wrong, looks like a glitch.
1 more question, the wireless adapter is quite expensive ($120), my router is upstairs, and sending a wire up there is not going to happen. So how else can I connect to the internet? Can I connect the XBox to my PC and route the internet through there?

My screen is very good, set to HDTV, 1080p.
It is a glitch, there's a texture dithering bug in some textures in the game, which can affect shadow maps as well.
BTW, I win.

Yes if you know how, you can also use ethernet bridges.

And don't get too excited, the PC version has yet to be released.
And, if I have not stated before, I do believe consoles are great for multiplayer (in the same house), for quick and good gaming time with friends. I bought it for that reason, mainly because I enjoy laughing at them when I beat them.
