I've had a bookmark for the sign-up page to Travian in my browser for over a year. My fiancee says she wants to play too, we just needed to find which server one of her friends plays on.

I enjoyed my first game of Travian on the UK speed server and was fortunate enough to participate in a strong and organised tribe that went on to be part of the winning alliance. However I discovered that once was enough for me. The time and effort involved in running a strong position is quite significant as the game matures, particularly if you play a leadership role in your tribe too. Second time around that investment wasn't rewarded with the same sense of enjoyment. You can run a small position with little effort, but then you aren't going to be achieving much individually or helping your tribe to victory.To doubt everything or to believe everything are two equally convenient solutions; both dispense with the necessity of reflection.
