I did not quite say it right, in the beginning you have nothing and must build up, this takes less than a month.

Then once you are out of noobie protection your a minnow, swimming with sharks, and it can be quite harrowing to survive. Once you get a few key strats and structures, you can make it to the next level, where you are a little bigger fish and can chp on minnows yourself.

The more you eat the more you grow.

But anyway, looks like Travian is similar, but does get to the PvP quicker and actually has an end (something that ogame does not).

I just can't commit to another online game right now as i still play ogame most days. I wonder if I will quit, it has been 2.5 years since I've started.

Well, I signed up for it....but after 30 minutes and no response (ie, an actual log-in to the game) - I get a response that I'm pending.....I am seriously loosing interest with this game quickly...

Yup, when an alliance builds a lvl100 wonder.

The alliance is declared a winner and the server shuts down. It is restarted a few weeks/days later. A server has the lifestpan of about a year, from what I gather.

PM me ingame if you're in, so that the current alliance can help you with free resources. It'll make the early development that much faster

yeah... and building that wonder is a real pain in the a$$

Natars are easy, but usually there is a few hundred other players to get you.

I didn't build the "main wonder" of my alliance, but managed to get mine to level 76. It is a huge task.

now I'm playing only one server. I don't have the time or the energy to play multiple servers at the same time. Currently my alliance is no. 3 and because I'm the foreing minister.... it is getting very busy for me.

I was in Travian 2/3? that ended recently. I rejoined the new T2 server but got a lousey start location and so I ended. But before I did I noticed some players already withh 22 villages?

How could that be after so short at time? Of course people pay for extras but still puzzled.

Not sure if I will go back.

When those end game Natars appear scattered across the map, if you are nowhere near one, then you are out of contention.

Still I sort of enjoyed it. Got revenge on a player on the last turns.

But like a number of these games, the premium players make for less than a fair playing field.
