1GB/day translates to 40mb/hr give or take, or 670k/min, or around 10kBps (80kbps). That's third world speed as far as I'm concerned...

And with a 56k modem, it's the ping which makes it icky*, not the lack of bandwidth.
* Ignoring the fact that WoW is intrinsically icky and you should go "ewwww", put it down, back away slowly then run away swiftly, never looking back. Except to remember how icky it is.
