Also didn't exist til rather recently. It's a great value, the 8800 GT.
I've had the ultra since mid last year. And its price hasn't changed since then -- I got it for the same price as the GTX.

I kind of knew that, you'd be insane to pick the ultra over the gt at this point.
I was even thinking SLI, but looks like it would be just easier to upgrade in a few years. Now if I would not have gotten the SLI mobo.

In the current computer, I have an EVGA 6800 GS Superclocked AGP card that's been softmodded into a 6800 Ultra. I paid $225 for it about 2 years ago. I'll be going to an 8800 GT Superclocked in a couple of months when I build my new computer.Age and treachery will defeat youth and skill every time.Comment

XFX 8800GTS 320 megs for €270 (about half a year ago)
I somewhat have the feeling I should have gotten the 8800 GT instead.

The mobility X1400 with more hypermemory than Asher would know what to do with. Eat my dong, it's in a laptop and can run company of heroes and Civ4 for $1,000.
