Xbox 360: Is it just me or are the random live players morons?

Okay, I just got a 360 (yay for tax return.)

Mostly got it because our xbox finally just died and there went our classic games with it (or at least the game saves.)

So to fix the problem we went ahead and shelled out for a 360 with the return. Decided to go ahead and pick up Uno and TMNT from the arcade, and the moment I log in cursing, immaturity, and stupidity run rampant.

I suppose part of my question here is to try to find some like-minded folks who don't enjoy cursing and being stupid so much.

My best example (and a more amusing one) as I sought some people to play Uno with:
"FlameFlash, sounds like a total Flamer" and I'm subsequently booted.



So, if there's anybody around who wouldn't mind helping a fellow out, feel free to find me on as FlameFlash82, or just dropping some suggestions on how to find some polite people, if they exist on the system.

Random players are always morons. People are stupid. PC, PS3, Xbox Live, even in real life.

The key is an extensive Friends list from real life or sites you're part of.

I guess WoW spoiled me. There I've had quite a bit of good luck in the players I've run into.

The key is an extensive Friends list from real life or sites you're part of.

Despite what Asher tries to do, which is manipulate press releases and invent statistics, it is clear that the majority of 360 gamers are between 11 and 15 years old, their balls not having dropped and their mothers always making them finish their vegetables despite the fact she didn't see them eating the spinach or whatever, which makes them frustrated and they take it out on you online.

You must be kidding. WoW was the worst for me, the randoms. I was booted from a guild when they found out I was gay once.

It was only fun once a bunch of RL friends all made a guild.

Was playing Forza online tonight - some rooms were full of 12 year olds, others had more mature gamers. You pays yer money, you takes yer choice.

But building a good friend's list is good advice. There is a thread somewhere with all the 'Poly gamertags.
