Which goes on to prove my point that Goldeneye was the game that unlocked FPSes on consoles, not PD. PD came in the twilight of the N64 days.

His point was PD showed shooters are viable on consoles. That's completely wrong, no matter how you look at it. Goldeneye was that game, not PD. The fact that most people haven't played PD shows you that point. It was Goldeneye that opened up the market, not PD.
Again, even if you haven't played goldeneye, if you know anything about game consoles you would know this. This is why I have my doubts about the console "cred" of that site you love so much. I have never played any of them. I did watch a friend playing it during my most intensive N64 period. I never had a N64.
