Biggest Gaming Event in History: Halo 3 has arrived
People buy Wii Play for the remote...so no, it doesn't count.
Why are people buying a remote for a console with no software?

yes, US when the numbers work, then NA, then Europe, and then Japan when it suits your purposes
Uh...considering the only numbers we have are for the USA, and that's what the context was and LOTM's numbers were...that's what was being used.
You, on the other hand, try to squirm using incompatible numbers to try to suit your purpose...
Looks like the poor Wii software, even it's "AAA" software, is getting its ass spanked...and hard.

To play Wii Sports when they first get the console, obviously.
It's also pretty obvious when you buy a "social" console like the Wii that one controller isn't going to cut it.

So they buy the Wii, then also buy the remote, just to play Wii sports? Not as cheap as its been made out to be then.

Nothing about the Wii is cheap. The controllers are insane ripoffs and it comes with virtually no memory.

as is PC game software, and almost all other 360 software.
My impression is that most folks understood Halo would be a big deal for the 360 since the 360 came out, right?

Well then, that cant explain why its sold as well as it has.

360 software sales are through the roof. It's the healthiest gaming platform for software sales, so no, your statement is not correct.

Yes, just like Zelda and Metroid are a big deal for Wii.
And Bioshock is on track to beat them both rather handily....let alone Halo and Mass Effect.

It doesn't matter how well a console sells if you can't sell content for it, grasshoppah.

You changed this in a stealth edit from 100,000 to 200,000 -- where's the source?
IGN xbox 360 review
Legendary Edition
The Legendary Edition, which retails for $129.99 comes in a sizeable cube. It's covered in a black sleeve, which unfolds into a fairly awesome Master Chief poster. Inside the box is the somewhat infamous Master Chief helmet. This replica helmet, slightly smaller than a human head, fits on a rectangular base which is numbered. The limited nature of the helmet seems, well, not so limited as our numbered edition is six figures. When you pass 150,000, that's not so "limited." The helmet is pretty swank and the base also holds the two game boxes that come with the set.
I think the actual figure is above 200,000 -- but you can't just pull figures out of your ass and call it fact. You, sir, are a liar.
Desperate!
