I misread somebody's post and thought they said "Master of Oregon".

Sounds like a mix of "oregon trail" and "master of magic", which would have made that game VERY interesting.

Oh man! I might have just thought up an idea for a very quirky game. Nobody steal it.

I don't think there's much chance of that.

Oregon is a very populated place in fantasy recently.

        AHH!
Don't try to confuse the issue with half-truths and gorilla dust!

            And here it is:

Fallen Enchantress is 4X strategy game from the makers of Sins of a Solar Empire and Galactic Civilizations. Build a civilization in the magical world of Elemental. Recruit heroes, train armies, build cities, forge alliances and save the world in this rich world where it's never the same game twice.

Now can someone answer me....how do I make the time until feb. 2010 go faster?

Elemental looks like a promising game

I bought Age of Wonders I, II, and SM a couple years ago for something like $10 with S&H. Very well worth it. AoW is my favorite out of the series.

I seem to remember having a lot of fun with MoM. Then again, I like a lot of old games and kept an old P100 around running DOS until just recently. (DOSBox is fine of course, but something about running the games on a real DOS machine is still enticing.)

Colonization is still one of my favorites to play as well.

                  It does indeed

Brad Wardell has some great ideas, and I am very much looking forward to this game. For a few of those ideas, see http://forums.elementalgame.com/329473

For answers to a lot of questions regarding the game, see http://forums.elementalgame.com/328959
