Heh, well that is the plan. But the homeworld I have my sights on isn't exactly much better, although it might be for the sphere I'll take as my secondary, whatever it will be. I'm thinking of mercantile, since it'll allow me to manipulate minerals prices too, and there are probably copious moderately profitable trading in the centre area even with all that competition.

I did not check in over the weekend, and ended up with over 20k in my treasury today. So the obvious thing to do was spend it like a drunken sailor. The tech complexes seem to do much better on my lower-wealth planet that has no competition than on a much wealthier planet that is already saturated. Still, my research complex there should help increase prices and give me a research boost. I've got a long way to go to catch up to others.

Looks like my plan was a good one, I'm already making great money in Mercantile and I have a newbie sphere leader and only four routes active. Status is already at 17 too, and I have four more routes planned out once I get the money for the structures.

Somehow my net tax burden is only roughly 10% even though all planets have a base tax of 15% in my spheres and I am reaching the second bracket on two planets. I guess taxes are taken from income after maintenance costs, not before?

Also, Maesil has cost me 40 solars a day by swamping the Precious Metals market on Mekbuda with his own mines

I saw some Scientologists plying their BS today, and my first thought was 'Just like me in Imperium Nova'. Maybe I'm playing this game too much.

Bosh hasn't logged in for a while. Do you reckon he'll be annoyed if I run a candidate on his homeworld?

If he's not there to get the seat, wouldn't you getting it at least be better than having another crony sit there?

I shudder to think the kind of money he lost to the 5% depreciation when the month changed today. It could be more than my estimated gross revenue for this month (35kish).

At what point should I start to consider investing in Technology? Is spending money on Tech without facilities a waste of time? I'm currently netting maybe 16-20k a month and my tech level has been 6.00 because I've figured the money is better spent expanding my operations.

It might be worth bumping your tech spending up to minimal. The best way is to get a tech agreement with a tech house, though.

If I get a concession agreement from a tech house and they cancel it, do I keep the tech level I was brought up to by the agreement or am I back to 6.00? That's my main worry. My other worry is that I'm going to be charged a fortune for one.

Any thoughts on a third sphere? I have Merc/Geo now, and both are getting kind of low on expansion opportunities. Construction? Transportation? My homeworld is Pherkad Media.
