You seriously are getting the Sims? What happened to getting the Sims 2, as it's much better and should work even on your fossil? (and still, I am so dead over Sims now. Did you hear that Spikie?)

Was I considering Sims2? I figured we dont know if POTM is even going to like the thing, so I preferred to go with the cheaper option, Sims Deluxe for only $20. And it was very much an impulse thing, in the sense that we were at the store and POTM said - well arent we going to get it already? And they didnt have Sims2 there, only some xpacks, but like I said, they did have Sims Deluxe. And the thing has to run on the laptop, now almost 18 months old, and a budget machine when we got it, and I didnt particularly want to chance Sims2 not running on it, since them POTM might lobby to play it on the desktop.

I understood your post like you had bought the game now. But should I take this is an old purchase and you are looking for another answer here?
