Oh, Garg. Use grenades. Lots of grenades. There is no problem which cannot be solved by the application of a sufficient quantity of high explosives.

Be prepared, the next part is... not so good. You'll spend most of the next chapter on these rail cars - it isn't such a bad chapter by itself, except that it's about one third longer than it should be.
Hint about Gargs: never try to shoot one / blow one up. Yes, you can blow them up with lots of explosives, but you can always solve the problem differently - either run away or kill him with something special.
Hint about the next chapter: to change direction, shoot the signs.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator

I've done the first station, and seen the rocket."A person cannot approach the divine by reaching beyond the human. To become human, is what this individual person, has been created for.” Martin Buber

yeah, its going as expected, you get a couple of stations on the first loop, including the one where you see the rocket, and the one where you have to avoid the turret. Then you turn off the loop, and you are in position to take out the turret and open the new rail line. Then you go around again, and proceed on the new line.
Then you get into a very difficult tactical situation, which Im still working on, using a couple of reloads."A person cannot approach the divine by reaching beyond the human. To become human, is what this individual person, has been created for.” Martin Buber

Ok, now Im stuck, as in S T U C K - stuck.
Ive finished On Rails, and launched the rocket. All the walkthroughs say there the big door to my left after coming out of the blast doors should be open.
Well guess what, its not. And I did the whole go in and do the blast thing twice (and getting out isnt easy) to make sure. Still the door isnt open. Is it because of something I did way earlier? Is it a bug?
Is there something Im missing?"A person cannot approach the divine by reaching beyond the human. To become human, is what this individual person, has been created for.” Martin Buber

And no, solver, I see no button, and the walkthroughs dont mention one.
Looking on USENET (this game is old enough for the USENET era) apparently the bug was known (if occasional) the only solution suggested is to go back to an earlier save. AFAICT I hadnt gone back far enough when I redid the launch part of the chapter.
Ive also registered and posted this at Planet Half Life, and I will look to see if they have an answer (the forums for the original game are rather quiet though)"A person cannot approach the divine by reaching beyond the human.
