ah, id already gone through that vent, but hadnt thoroughly explored that control room. I managed to find the place where you jump down to get into sector B.

I shot the doggie things, used up most of my ammo, found more ammo, restored my health to 100, and then after fighting more doggie things, back up to 60 or so.

In general its better to whack the zombies with the Crowbar to save ammo.

              They're called headcrabs.

You can't miss them, they try to hug your face.

Is it beyond these points?

By the way, you do know you can smash the wooden crates with the crowbar, right? There's at least one hall blocked completely by crates you have to break to go through.
i found the first crates i could move in sector B, which is where I find the scientist hiding in a large box, and where the entrance to the sewers is. Im trying to figure out if i can use the sewers to get anywhere, but I keep drowning.

I dont think ive found the broken ceiling.

ahh, Ive managed to get the scientist to help me into the room where the grenades (plus a lot more ammo) are.

I then managed to do the swimming thing correctly. I found the dead guard with lots of ammo in the big room with the opening to far below.

I think here is where im supposed to move the lever, kill the two head crabs (should i use a grenade?) and then maybe go get crates to climb up to some fan, and maybe a crawlway?

Grenading the face huggers sounds a little extreme. The pistol works well.

extreme maybe, it also didnt work terribly well. I reloaded and used the pistol instead.

But I dont seem able to use the crate to get anywhere, now Im stuck. And I cant go back easily because of the water. Where to next?

                            so, any suggestions?

Anyone even play this recently enough to remember details?

Didn't the lever you moved, activate an elevator?
