Wotlk Beta is reducing the XP required from 60 - 70

Im back again. Wotlk info got me somewhat excited. Its like on one month and off one month at this rate for me... Trying to hit high rating this season with my friends in 2s and 3s.

The awesome Spriest, feral druid, Enh Sham and myself.

We're thinking about naming the team "LFM Healers"

I almost got excited for the xpak. I read the new talents and they seem like Blizzard is going for extreme flash in gameplay this go-around.

51 point talents that have warriors jumping into the air and landing on a spot for damage/stun, rogues blinking in and out of shadow to hit for multiple times, I think priests channelling some visually intense spells etc..

And the Death Knight starting area. Ok.

I'm all for it, but I can't seem to get excited much about it. It just hits me as the same game for another ten levels.

I'm more excited about Lotros xpak. Weapons that level with you, crafting guilds, etc..They seem to be trying some new things rather than puking up an extension of the same old same old.

The point of all this is that, for a second expansion, Blizzard is introducing no new ideas whatsoever. That's not good to me.
Blizzard seems to be getting lazy.

oh, and yeah, they're successful and why not continue the trend, but that's not acceptable for a game out as long as wow.

For a company that changed MMOs and turned them mainstream, they should watch the mediocrity in their expansions.

10 Days until WotLK is out, I am amazed there arn't more posts/threads on the subject....are there no other Apolytoner's still playing WoW anymore? (except me! )

The last patch gave a significant portion of the content we can expect with WotLK, and has created a lot of excitment on the forums and in the chat channels, I suspect that Blizzard will break their own WoW record with sales (and pre-sales) on November 13.

Unfortunately, the last batch also created a nightmare of problems , which hopefully they have ironed out before the release, to help ease the transition. Didn't help that the patch and the annual event Hallow's End, coincided with each other, between the Zombies and patch problems there was a lot of QQ (I don't know what "QQ" is short for but I have seen it a lot and know it is about complaining of some sort).

I'm excited about the expansion and I don't even plan on immediately buying it! Let's see if I am just as excited when I get to deal with the lag when the XP is actually out and the game becomes unplayable (that's what I suspect anyway).

I'm actually pretty tempted to get this - but I've got lots of 360 games to play at the moment so it probably wont be on release.

But, didn't you skip the burning crusade?
You'll have to level through that expansion for a month before you even get to the new expansion.

Not sure about a month, one of the "features" of the XP is that they are nerfing the grind from 61-70, making it easier to level. I know a lot of people are trying to get their alts to 70 before the XP in order to hit the ground running November 13, but I am trying to level my alts to 60 in order to take advantage of the nerf. (having said that, the most fun I have had ingame was probably 62-70 ...not sure I want that portion nerfed ).

Yes, I know about the nerf, but I was there for the "nerf" to 20-60 and it was minimal at best. That was actually the time I re subbed hoping to get my alt up, but the xp enhancement was very minimal.

Maybe this one is better. All i'm saying is that for returning players, the last thing anyone wants is to grind a month to get to the actual xpak.

Maybe Spike won't mind, just asking him. And i've noticed that the XP enhancements that games give prior to an xpak release are minimal. LOTRO just did it too. It makes you say "WOW nice!!!"

until you spend the same amount of time, minus 20 minutes, getting to the same destination.

Oh, and yes, 60-70 was fun.

Yeah, that's another reason.

It shouldn't be an issue though. There will still be people playing levels 60-70 on alts, and I'm more than happy to play through that content.

Actually it comes from alt qq, which quits you from the game.
