To be honest, I don't have patience for NWN at the moment. I played the Bard/Ftr/RDD through SoU chapter 1 and ditched him because it's a bland, boring and often played combo. Then I tried to overcome my Bard aversion in NWN1 and built a Bardarian (60% Bard, 40% Barbarian) in SoU, but again I lost my interest already in chapter 1 (even though that char rocked; if he both sang and raged, he was literally unstoppable ).

So what's the status of Neverwinter nights 2?

Player added races in NWN1 usually use one of the existing races (humans, elves, dwarves etc) as base and use the subrace setting for distinction. If stats are tweaked, the player made races usually get permanent items, that add their benefits even if not equipped. In NWN2, I don't know.

As I said, use subrace. An added subrace shows in the character description, i.e. if you make an elf and write "Drow" into the subrace, the character screen shows "Drow" as your race (although stat and ability-wise it's an elf). Now in the initial event script of your module spawn an item that modifies the stats in the characters inventory if he chose the subrace in question, and you're done.
I'm not exactly a module builder, but I doubt there is a viable other way.
