People who get behind consoles because of its brand are morons. It's the games which matter.

I recently bought System Shock 2 for the PC, and I bet I'm having as much fun as Microsoft fanboys playing Gears of War with their nerdy friends.

Save money and stay behind the herd.

I'm not particularly impressed with any of the new generation of consoles actually.

I guess (reluctantly) the X-Box 360 has to be considered the best. I suppose a wider range of titles will be available soon.

give me a rock anyday over a 360/PS3........and maybe a Wii(why i have some Wii love i really dont know? - i don't plan on getting one anytime soon....??).

A rock is for life.....not just for xmas(like next-gen consoles and their dull vacous games). Plus a rock is just as much fun and much, much cheaper

Well, the next console I'll be buying is a PS2, and then I've got a pile of games to play before needing another console. Besides, the PC has priority. In fact, I'll probably finish off not buying a PS2 either, if you get my drift.

All PS3 games are programmed for the SIXAXIS which doesn’t have force feedback, therefore the force feedback in the [steering] wheels won’t be recognized.

Do I read this correct as in no Ps3 games has force feedback? In that case

Taking time to play a game properly is something I struggle with. I spent time away from home in 2003, and had no access to computer or video games. When I returned home, I went on a buying spree. Now I have a shelf full of games I haven't played.

When I was a kid, games were simple. You could enjoy a large collection, because if you got bored of Space Invaders, you switched to Asteroids. But games these days require up to 100 hours to complete the silly things. Civilization IV on the other hand is an infinite time sink.

The idea of getting on board this new generation of consoles is just a joke to me, and I work part-time, have no children, and a lot of time to dedicate to video gaming.

I'd like to see some titles. Only a handful of games even make the claim of "100 hours of gameplay"; only a few, in reality, even come close.

There are plenty of games that do not require a huge time commitment. Also, a wonderful feature known as "save" allows you to play games over a long period of time, should you so choose. Quite useful.

Yeah, I'd call shenanigans on that too. When have you ever seen people complaining games are too long these days?

I've seen plenty complaining about the opposite.
