Who could not avoid thinking of KFC ( and even the deep fried octopus) but I never associated it with Utah. The colonel had more of a southern US type feel: like Kentucky!
1. Deep fried stuffed octopus: Not a clue.
2. Green, slimy substance: Green jello is a stereotypical snack of the Mormons.
3. Shar: Rah lived in Utah, and worshipped Ao, and Shar is a god in that pantheon. Tuberski represents teh utah.
4. Copper: Kennecott copper mine provides 15% of US copper.
5. Pure white gown: Baptism.
6. Chicken Kiev: Not a clue. The food nearest to me. Later integrated as a clue.
7. Shirt: Mormon symbolic gown.
8. Fried chicken: First KFC in Salt Lake City.
For ye snoopy:
1. Log cabin: Log cabin was the symbol of the whigs.
Clarifications:
1. The clues were not intended to convey American-ness.
2. Chicken Kiev was not intended to point to Russia or Ukraine.
