I don't get any twinges of guilt about downloading an executable so I can play the game I paid $50 for without the CD in the drive.
That's obvious... but as I said, there are some people who prefer to behave in a legal and upright fashion. I didn't suggest that you are one of those people

I'm not sure it is being 'upright' to needlessly follow something to your own detriment despite the lack of logic inherent in the action and impacts on others. I'd call that misguided uprightness.
And yes, I have no problem in downloading cd cracks for the games I buy - it is my little statement against the inanity of such things.
