Yes, Sid did lots of games before he did civ. that was the point i was trying to make. This is the first game by said designer, hence it can't be sid or civ.
Sid's first games were wargames circa 1984 and civ was a '91 title

Early 90s and released on Amiga, IBM PC, Atari ST, Apple IIGS along with Apple Macintosh.
I'd probably call it an RPG for the lack of it fitting neatly into any other category.Comment
