Any thoughts on a third sphere? I'm leaning towards Construction - there are few construction 'monopolies' near my home planet.

That could work. But in general construction is a severly low-profit sphere.
It might be a good idea to wait until the economic patch is written.
Hmmm strange that everyone's talking about merchantile profits going south, mine have been unchanged for the last few months...Stop Quoting Ben

It's been going south in my neck of the woods. First an economic boom on Media Borealis--then a recession on Porrima--pretty much killed the most profitable trade routes. All that's left are a pair of average planets and 5 prosperous ones. I used the funds you gave me to rearrange my trade network so profits are a bit better now. I just need to hang on until I have enough to go into transport."People sit in chairs!" - Bobby Baccalieri

Well House Lang has now entered the Slave trade until the Imperials catch up with me.I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara
For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

I've been able to get away with illegal trading for long stretches of time so long as I operated only one illegal route. Not really sure how the policing system works. The only time I got caught was when I created a second illegal route. But maybe that was because it originated from the same planet as my first one. Something to try might be multiple illegal routes between different planets (i.e., one from A-->B; another from C-->D)."People sit in chairs!" - Bobby Baccalieri

The rampant piracy on Muhlifain Australis is forcing me to put security on my drug shipments to my opperations there. Hopefully that will increase my profits from that route.I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara
