I thought it was very laggy, but thats just MHO. Compared to Vanguard PRE_release it was not so good.

Just comparing the two. Official release day is today however, so I guess we will see what happens tonight.

1) I'm not necessarily going to play the game
2) I'm going to play it in 2 months

That I already ordered it has a rather rational explanation. I prefer an English version, and there may not be an English version available here after the German comes out (March). Stores usually order only a small amount of foreign versions for those who can't wait.

As for the small step, when I quit smoking seven years ago, I left the last package with 5 cigarettes in my drawer, just to test my strength. I never touched them. My wife smoked them months after. I can be very cruel with myself.

By the way, I don't know why you even care, and neither why I feed the troll. All I say is that at the moment I don't want to play it, but plan in the future, when I'm in the mood to do so. Whether this will be next week, next year or even never, I don't know.

I created characters to claim my names. Don't know if this qualifies as "playing", but doing this, my client crashed 5 (counted) times, which is pretty steep for 3 characters and didn't make me want to play more, alas.

I could not have bought the game yet, I found out my beta installation and account still works as "trial account", which is enough to create characters.

By the way, are we sure they didn't hire artists from WoW? I made a dwarf (one of my characters is always a dwarven paladin) and his shape looks suspiciously similar as the WoW dwarves, with much more detail of course.

Nah, I didn't even bother to look for the reason of the crashes, which might well be on my side. My NWN2 troubles came from a defective memory stick as I found out later, the same might be the case here too. But the thought to get sucked in again still makes me shudder, so I'm playing HoI2 (75%) and EU3 (25%).
