Disappointing. "It'll be released when it's ready", oh well. He should have added "or when I'm out of cash". Not that anyone can change a thing in this matter. I definitely will not play from the start.

It may still evolve into a good game, but it'll take half a year at the least. I would have accepted a release date of about May or June, but not January. Since the fundamental laws are broken (The Vision and "I depend on nobody, it's ready when it's ready"), it does not have any edge over other games anymore. I may as well return to EQ2 or even 1 when I'll get into MMO mood again.

You still holding steadfast to not playing?*"Winning is still the goal, and we cannot win if we lose (gawd, that was brilliant - you can quote me on that if you want. And con - I don't want to see that in your sig."- Beta

At the moment I'm not in MMOG mood at all. Of the 2 games being released shortly, EU3 definitely gets my preference. I may install and play Vanguard after I'm tired with EU3, if some MMOG cravings return by this time, which however isn't in sight right now.
This time I swore not to play as intensely as I played both Everquests. Not 50+ hours per week, but perhaps 10-20, that should be enough.
By the way, don't take anything I said above for pure gold. I tend not to plan the usage of my spare time so far ahead. It represents my mood at the moment. It can change anytime. I may play it next week. Or in 3 months. Or never.

(not that I have the luxury of 50 hours these days)
