Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
At the onset of the war for Galactic Overlord, Paddy the Scot's leadership over the Hordes was undisputed. However, following their recent reversals, many had begun to question his strategic abilities. Sure, the Hordes had made a impressive splash with their all-offence strategy, but many among them were now left base-less as a result. On top of that, their very successes on offence had pushed many of the others into an informal defensive alliance against them.
So heated were their debates and so fractious were the divisions among them, that not a single member of the Hordes managed to give orders to their fleets in time for the next wave of attacks. Whether any of the other would-be overlords could take advantage of the situation remains to be seen...
Being a favourite target of at least half the navies of the galaxy and having already lost his home bases, most overlord hopefuls would have just resigned themselves to their fate. Not so Jaguar, for he had faith that the good Lord JEBUS would deliver him from his (and by extension His) enemies.
And so it would seem to be, as Jaguar's fleets descended on those of Paddy the Scot sitting idle in their ports. With no orders given and no provisions having been made for just such a turn of events, the fleet is destroyed without a fight.
In the last battle of a quiet round, civman2000 attacks Hercules. Looking at their respective fleet sizes and compositions, things are looking pretty grim for the defender.
Indeed you do. It won't be in the first graphic, but it will show up in the second.
...and there is one other overlord wannabe who should be far more relieved that this is the last battle of the round. Silly players and their phantom shields.
With such a huge disparity in ships, the ultimate outcome was never in doubt. The only question was whether Hercules could take some of his attacker's fleet with him. It was not to be.
