Princeps Senatus


According to Article 7.3 of the Imperial Constitution, in the event of Emperor's death or abdication and until the coronation of his heir, the duties of the office of the Emperor shall be discharged by the Speaker of the Imperial Senate, or Princeps Senatus in Imperialish. At the time of late Emperor Basileus Naviwinat's death, this important position was occupied by Senator Danq who was long standing supporter of the Galactic Empire, but also leader of the reformist faction in the Senate.

Since the Emperor had made sure no legitimate heir of his was left alive, it seemed that Senator Danq would remain acting Emperor indefinitely. But his relentless pursuit of his modernist ideas alienated many overlords and they felt compelled to sever their ties with the central government to protect their own selfish interests and in a matter of months the area under Danq's control was reduced to only a handful of planets. Some overlords went so far as to even withdraw their representatives from the Imperial Senate, and some of them even proclaimed independence from the Galactic Empire. With so many worlds leaving the Empire and so many empty seats in the Senate, Danq started to enjoy a total majority and was able to pass any bill he desired.

Danq slowly worked on consolidation of his power base. First he built up the Imperial armed forces and then he proposed a bill of reunification which outlawed all secessionists and branded them rebels.

The Rump Senate as it was now called by its enemies, passed the bill enthusiastically. They also voted in favour of Danq's proposal that the first target of the renewed Imperial order would be the leader of the secessionist block, Professor Morrisa.

Peaceloving Professor Morrisa deploys no ships and her three bases are quickly reintegrated into the Empire.

The Sacred Scrolls


Master Agath Agathari had a confession to make. He did not follow his master's instructions to the letter for fear that he had been an agent of the unholy spirits. The master's strange and somehow demonic sounding voice had cast a doubt in Agath Agathari's heart as to the true intentions of the spirit.

But now, after his defeat in battle, he knew that the spirit had indeed been his master's and that the spirit's intentions were true.

Alas, it was too late to change anything, and Agath Agathari knew that the news of his defeat and the loss of his fleet was spreading fast through the galaxy, so he readied himself for the inevitable demise.

He didn't need to wait long. A fleet commanded by the filthy money grabber Mr. Y got out of hyperspace and started to bombard the dark moon of Axis.


Mr. Y attacks! Agath Agathari


Since Agath Agathari built no ships, Mr. Y easily took control of the moon. Then he entered the monastery and after a long search finally found the Sacred Chamber where the Sacred Scrolls were held. There he found Master Agath Agathari praying.


"You crazy monk! Surrender those scrolls immediately and I may let you live."

"Life is merely a stage in one's existence. If you kill me I will simply ascend to another level."

"I'm asking you one more time - surrender the scrolls!"

"The scrolls would be worthless to you. Though they contain the secret of achieving the real ultimate power you could never read them as they are written in ancient Vantilanu and that is a language spoken only by me and my late master Agath Agath."

Then master Agathari continued.

"But if you wish them so, here, have them."

He gave the sacred scrolls to Mr. Y.

"I have them at last!!!! The secret of the real ultimate power is finally mine! Mine!! Mine!! Mine alone!!!!"

"You wouldn't know what to do with the real ultimate power even if you had it."

"This head talks too much. Off with it!!"

Master Agath Agathari was taken out and executed. His spirit immediately ascended to the heavens and joined his late master.

Mr. Y burnt the monastery to the ground. Then he built industrial facilities on the dark moon of Axis and incorporated it into his business empire.
