Chapter 5 - Back to the Future
The island itself seemed to be sad. The weather had turned terrible. Rain pounded down on the survivors wherever they went. They all loooked sideways at each other and refused to go out alone with another. They had in teams diligently searched the island and ignored all the clues they could. It was almost as if they were blinded by their own desire for survival to the obvious nature of the evidence.
The morning ended and at high noon the vote was cast again. Whoha wet himself when he saw the pile of rocks behind him. The survivors grabbed hold of him and threw him headfirst into the fire.
Nikolai gathered the survivors together that night and laid out his plan for salvation.
"A Raft!" exclaimed Adagio " Built from what?"
"There is still plenty of material on the wreckage and we can chop down a few bamboo poles and strap it alll together with this Gaffer Tape i found"answered Nikolai
"Oh in that case it all sounds good" said Adagio.
So the survivors set out collecting material to build a raft, but it soon became obvious that not all of them would fit on the raft.
"We will need to draw straws to see who goes" said Nikolai
"How many are going?" asked Paddy
"Only 4 will fit on it"
Before they went to sleep that night they drew sticks and the four shortest would go on the raft.
The "lucky" ones were; Nikolai, RubyChaser, duke o york and Joncha. It was agreed once the raft was finished that they would set sail and find help.
It took a week to complete the raft and in all that time no further crimes were committed. So the survivors were happy they had finally elimianted the Killer. It was the night before the raft was set to sail and Pady had again collected his favourite alcohol from the plane wreckage and distributed it to all. An old guitar was found and parrowhawk strummed it whilst the rest sang songs of celebration. It was a party that lasted long into the night.
The following morning it was Adagio that realised first that Joncha was missing. At first he thought maybe he was releiving himself in the bushes, but once all had awoken and searched, it was quickly realsied that Joncha was missing.
Jon Miller was the unfortuante one to find the body. Joncha was found up in the caves , 5 bamboo poles were impaled in his body. One through each hand and foot and the fifth through his neck.
