                      It's not about the points at all, Ras.

                      Hangman is a cooperative game, and the idea is the team working together to solve the word. It's hard enough to solve it when everyone is working together. When someone makes stupid, low-percentage guesses, it flushes all that thoughful work down the toilet.

                      The last word was a perfect example. Without your lazy, brainless guess, the group would have solved the word.

                            Not true at all. Even after the L guess Filch was guessed and was wrong , (it was too late nayway) so basically no one was going to get Milch..

                            it is a word that is so little used , same as most of the words on this game, that i do not beleive they are in peoples vocabularys.

                            To be in your vocabulary it needs t obe a word you use at least occasonaly.

                            so whilst those type of words are set i will continue to make guesses at words that are in normal vocubulary usage.

                              The filch guess was fine. It's your cinch guess that we're talking about. Without that we'd have one more chance, and there was only one other word (milch) that would fit.

                              Just because it isn't in your vocabulary doesn't mean it isn't in other people's. Anyone who's done a crossword more than once will pick up 90% of the words that aren't "normal" that have been used. Regular crossword players or scrabble players or academics will have no problems with the other 10%.
