i see no reasojn to eliminate a guess when it is a valid guess.
Bailee is in Dictionary.com
I see no reason either to wait for an update before guessing a word.
but what ever it is obviously the Drspike and joncha show....
I don't think the guess was ignored. Arguably such guesses should be, though in practice it's impossible to specify a rule, so we haven't tried. You were in fact eliminated for an incorrect word guess, as happens to everyone.
I don't know what the DrSpike and Joncha show bit means. I'm not known for my defence of Joncha but I am quite sure his rationale for complaining to you about your guess was not because he wants to make all the word guesses himself. The same applies to me when I criticise guesses.
I know you and Paddy will say, it's a game, doesn't matter if it is a bad guess. I think it does. The game is about working as a team to defeat the word setter. When someone makes a guess with low or zero value, like an unlikely letter or a word guess when there are many possibilities, you are undermining that teamwork, with no real gain to yourself, either. Thus, the only rationale for such behaviour is that you like mucking the game up for the other players.
