ESPN teamed with ABC: Superbowl 42 Coverage Cut to Joe Theisman
Joe Theisman here, at Superbowl 42 (crowd cheers), with Al Michaels. The story today, unfortunately, is not about the football, but about Tommie Harris' untimely death just an hour ago. However, the teams have decided to play on, after making sure they were safe by taking out the murderer. Bears and Texans alike chose Dunta Robinson as the killer, and hung him from the goalposts. They searched his locker, and were shocked to find a list of names in it ... that started with Tommie Harris! However, they did not find any darts in his locker, but instead a club. Strange ...
Pan over to Al Michaels
Yeah, strange indeed, Joe. Almost as if he had planned on killing various Bears players - QB Rex Grossman and star WR Mushin Muhammad were on the list - for no apparent reason. Still, odd that he didn't have any darts in his locker - maybe he had only one, or had another stash? Either way, very sad.
Yeah, Al. But regardless, the players agreed to play on. The Texans won the coin flip, and elected to defer, giving the Bears the ball. And here's the kickoff! Jerry Azumah takes it at the five, and dodges Kailee Wong and Marcus Coleman on his way to the thirty-five ... and was run out of bounds at the thirty-nine.
Joe, isn't Mark Bradley usually on the kickoff team alongside Azumah? That's Nathan Vasher instead, blocking for him.
Yeah, Al, that's weird indeed... he's been a huge reason the Bears special teams have recovered this year from 2006's horrible season. His amazing speed, fast enough to catch up to any other WR or CB, meant that he could get out ahead of Azumah and lay his shoulder into oncoming speed specialists.
Cut to Michelle Tafoya
Joe, I'm sorry to interrupt, but I have a breaking news bulletin... Mark Bradley was found tied to the Texans' goalpost with a lasso around his neck. The angle his head is on his body, it sure looks broken to me ... my god, this is horrible ... what's even stranger, he had a couple of darts in his pockets!
Cut to Al
Michelle, how is that possible? Don't we have cameras on the goals at all times?
Back to Michelle
Al, we normally do, except on kickoffs, where they're turned to focus on the kicker. Whomever did this must have been fast, and must have known exactly when to do it... only a player, or a team staffer, could have timed this so well. Or a cameraman, I suppose...
And returning to Al ...
Or you, Michelle, apparently ... laughs Well, Joe, I wonder what's going to happen now?
Al, I think that's a question for the players ...
Well, Mark Bradley, ie Rasputin, is dead. He appears to have been Mafia #1, or #2 depending on your point of view, as Adrian Hon was a mafia. But there seems to still be deaths happening ... so we need a vote

I like your SNOOPY POSTER! - While you Wait quote.
Umm... wow. I guess there's no honor amongst murderers. Withholding an actual vote until there's some rational discussion, but Illuminatus/Jerome Mathis did say he was retiring.
I was the hangman for the local jail, but they found out I was in the mafia and sent me off to nuclear war.

Have to say I'm quite amused by the quick exits of not one but TWO mafia, and not for any particular reason as far as I can tell.
Actually the lasso would seem to implicate someone from the Texans, so Jerome Mathis is as good a vote as any. This makes him an even better candidate:

This whole theme is too awkward for me. I think I will ignore this Mafia. Sorry.
I'm worried we might go into voting off the wrong person, but OTOH Johnsondid confess...
BTW, two mafias? Let me guess, the old rule(we don't have written rules, but unwritten ones was at least into play in the old days) of appointing a new mafia if he/she dies within the one or two first rounds? If so, we have lost two and gained one or two, depending on what kind of rule the GM is following...
