Yeah, me too, but the problem is getting people together to play...

Risk is a great game! Played it all the time with my brother when we were kids... Nowdays I play Microprose's Risk II with a collegue (hotseat), which is great fun too...

Your DS stories are intrigueing me - i might have to get one some day soon, and i only found out recently that its backwards compatible with other gameboys which is cool

No games, but over 500 in gift cards to help supplement the purchase of a new computer so I can finally play CIV IV and being able to see all the terrain

            @ Dr.Spike

Some seriously cool ones, and most seem really well done.
If i remember you have 29 games. the ones i have so far played a bit of:

            Operation Wolf
            Operation Thunderbolt
            New Zealand Story
            Rainbow Island
            Rastan

all great versions, equal to the origonals(taking into account using a xbox controller, which takes a bit of getting the hang of in games like Op Wolf). Fun in a small neat package - although i'm waiting for the gf to give it a proper go before getting into the two player games

full list here at the game(high street store) web site. £14.99 = good value

I got that 'getting new puter to play Civ4' feeling too! another few weeks and i should be sorted - a late xmas present to myself(and long overdue some might say).

The Conqueror's Collection, which includes Celtic Kings: Rage of War, Waterloo, Sid Meier's Civil War Collection, C&C: Tiberian Sun, and SMAC. Plus I bought myself GalCiv.

Yup, the DS is great! Its got a slot for Gameboy Advance games, and nintendo have been updating their back catalogue to GBA and DS compatability. It means you can play NES or SNES classics like Zelda, SMB3 and super mario world, and N64 games like super mario 64 (one of my favorite games ever, and now I can play it on my way to work )

and wireless multiplayer from 1 DS cartridge. Nintendo

wasn't this an xmas pressie for your other half as well? if it was mine i'd be struggling to get on the thing

I'm glad some of us got some cool xmas games stuff - what else can xmas be for?

@GameGeek, SMAC? for the first time? if so your in for a treat, an oldish looking treat these days, but i was looking at it last week and it holds up pretty well - much better than Civ2 for example, and its one of the great computer games of all time to boot!

Yup, first time on SMAC and first time on GalCiv. Just beginning to try out both. Unfortunately, they both seem to infect me with Onemoreturn syndrome . . .

I specifically asked for no games for Christmas because I have enough on my plate now with civ4 and AOW2 Shadow Magic (from a bin dive)

Ironically, AOW2 is winning the battle of which game to play...

And I do have some gift cards that will be used for any games that I may want to get in the new year. That is, if I do not use them first on DVDs

I didn't receive any games for Christmas either. I do plan on gifting some games to myself though after new years!

None but i bought myself a PSP and Galactic Civ Gold. Currently reading the manual for GalCiv and it all feels a bit... well abstract... +10% this and that but haven't tried the game yet.

In the New Year i'm waiting for my copy of Gothic 2 Gold
