I suggested that a few threads back (according to snoopy369 I think that translates to 2 weeks ago) that we ask for a private forum. I even thought we might get rah to request it as he has more clout than any of us in the alliance at the time (and he expressed interest in joining the alliance and the game), but with the Civ3 Stories Editor in the alliance now, perhaps he could help "encourage" them to do so?

I would like to see a private forum for members and a thread in Other Games for game mechanics discussion

Well... maybe I'll ask in a week or two- I doubt that google has located us yet- it would take people a while to track us down.

try typing "Ogame" and "Apolyton" into a google search........a few weeks ago all I got was an old thread in the spanish forum about the game (or I think it was anyway, I don't understand spanish) but now you will find one of these threads

          /me

          Edit:

Your 3 recyclers have a total load capacity of 60000. On the target field 85400 metal and 25400 crystal are drifting in space. You have collected 34600 metal and 25400 crystal.

Edit#2: I just made the mistake of scanning back the guy that just scanned my colony. He is the #94 ranked player in the Universe ...as I discovered after my probes were destroyed. I still received an espionage report however and thought I would share it with you. I don't want to know what this guy has for defenses if his fleet is this huge though.

Note to self: Check out a player BEFORE scanning him in the future

Somewhat related: within 24 hours a second base for IPM's will be operational in galaxy 3. Don't hesitate to call in for close-space-support
            What is IPM?

Inter-planetary missile(s). Expensive missiles that destroy enemy defence installations permanently.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

                Darkcloud, delete the location.
Alliance members can know it from in game.

I was curious if we've already discussed colonizing the outer galaxies. You can get some pretty choice looking spots out there, even if they're not nearby the main affair.

It was discussed, not sure if we reached a consensous or not but personally I didn't bother. If it is that empty then it doesn't seem like it has much raiding potential and will have longer transport times.

If you wanted to use a faraway planet to try and get graviton tech that is one option, but not one that I think I will try and do. Personally I think the minus's outweight the plus's.

You mean if I have contacted JO?
Nope, I just looked at their profile in statistics.

Outer Galaxies - what are they (4+ ?)

Also - how can one evaluate planet's value?
I recall someone said something about 'L10' planets in a circular mail..

Could someone explain to me please?

I am almost done building this 12/12/12 mine thing and have a good bunch of resources to go for colony ships, although I am now moving towards large cargos and recyclers.
                        (have probes already)

EDIT:I must ask once again the score question because Im really curious how DarkCloud managed to jump over me when I was 50 points above..

That could have been me: I have quite a loose evaluating system, but a level 10+ planet would be one that has level 10 mines or up. Could also be a 8/12/9 planet.

Huh, see the old thread, were you said you were contacted by JO member. Skanky told him to contact you, so it was nothing new to us when he did..

Huh, can uncolonised planets have mine levels and such?

In general the middle planets are the good ones. That's why if you look at the populated galaxies, there are mostly only fringe planets open for colonization.

I'm starting something in Galaxy 2. Just a jumping off point so I can aid in some of the coalition raids. Right now I feel pretty useless out in Gal 1.

If you could quote the part where I said I talked to them, that would be interesting to see.

I have not talked to any JO members. Period.
