        In other news: I'm pushing my last colonies up to a 15 Solar + 5 Fusion Energy level.
        Some have the odd Solar Sat to boost, but I'm afraid to go over 5 Sats

            Also: For the first time, I've actually found a need to build a Metal Storage building, as with today's raids, I've been taking in metal so fast that I can't spend it all. Once my galaxy-5 colony gets established, though, I'm going to ship over about 40k metal, which should allow me to focus more on crystal production in the early going there.

                Found a whole SYSTEM of planets controlled by this one inactive player. I had four fleet slots free; guess what I decided to do with them?

                  Note to Cockney and Skanky (and anyone else interested in attacking the player I indicated above as attacking me last night):

                  He is now in an alliance named Federati which is ranked above us in the statistics screen (for now ) in both members and total points.

                  I have attacked him at 4:480:10 and will continue to attack him, but not sure we want to take on an alliance bigger then ours just yet

                      Not sure what to do now. I was on a research craze for a while, basically just robbing inactives and researching new techs. Now that I have been attacked I started building my fleet which is good as I was starting to get bored with the builder philosophy. Don' tknow how far to take it now though, I still think tech is the key, especially as it can't be destroyed (unlike fleets and land based defenses). Not sure if I should return to research, switch entirely to offense or try to find the happy medium

                      I'm seriously contemplating shifting from Large Cargo's to small ones. The large ones slow down my forces, the small ones don't. For fast raiding, they're excellent.
                      The problem I see with this is that even though by this point I am guessing the cost difference isn't a big factor(5 x 2000/2000 = 10000/10000 versus 6000/6000), could the number of ships be? (What I mean by this is that you are in the top 1500 players on all 3 scoring charts, score, research & fleet number) If you produce small cargo's in any significant number you are going to climb higher in the fleet number chart and perhaps draw unwanted attention to yourself (I am on the top 1500 fleet list, and it blows me away, I counted up my ships to make sure it was correct and realize the only reason I am on the top 1500 is because I have lots of cargo (large and small). If anyone above me takes notice of my growing fleet number and decides to cut me down to size, I don't like my cargo's chances against their fleet

                          I would exchange that Deut with you if I could Atragon (though if you have no home fleet I guess this would be difficult) I am still lacking in Deut.

                          Given that you helped me out earlier you could name your terms (metal/crystal exchange) and I think I would accept.

                            I moved my cargos and resources off the planet just before he attacked, left my Heavy Fighters and Cruisers there to assist in the battle (Speedsim gave a better result with the HF and CR ).

                            I am very pleased with the results. No worries about his cruisers for a while

                              It probably works both ways. People who are more or less on par with me might shy away from an attack because of a high fleetnumber. :shrug:


                              I found that an inactive in my system is the overall #250. He's got a 1000k stored, but I can't see past that
