Yeah, I've bought some games, some DVDs, and a phone, with no problems.

My son 'borrowed' my copy of SMAC a few weeks ago. I went to EB and got a used copy for $3.

Sad to see the end of that

It's worth $3 to initiate the next generation of Civvers.

I hear ya and agree with you on the piracy thing. I've supported the games industry from nearly the very begining. And sometime i may be a geek and post a picture of my gaming collection
But if i cant find something anywhere else then its an option that isn't quite as illegal as full piracy imho. I've used it for the Xcom games most recently - having bought amiga Xcom once and PC Xcom twice+Xcom2 once; and the fact i'd lost the pc versions and couldn't find them anywhere.....well i didnt feel too guilty.

I did get Daggerfall of ebay though and that was a good version(Full box etc), also a couple of soundblaster AWE64's - both work fine.

And as i type i have next to me my new 19" CRT that i bought of amazon. So although i dont do online buying myself(i use work or a friend) - i havent had a bad experience with it yet

with this and the overcats(last resort) people like us might survive the death of the bargin bin pc game. Still i'll drink a toast in fondness to its memmory (pretend its a toast)

Most good games come out in classic editions for equivalent of 10$ here, isn't it the same where you live?
It's candy. Surely there are more important things the NAACP could be boycotting. If the candy were shaped like a burning cross or a black man made of regular chocolate being dragged behind a truck made of white chocolate I could understand the outrage and would share it. - Drosedars

The most popular ones tend to, though sometimes the relationship of the availibility of the "jewel case" or shovelware editions to popularity is elusive. But the used game bins have all sorts of gems that dont get classic editions. and with the general pressure on PC shelf space, sometimes the classic edition games get squeezed out as well.

Just scored AOW2-ShadowMagic for $5.00 out of a used bin. I haven't seen it for less than $20 locally, new.

Unfortunately, I have too many other playing options at the moment, and it does not get any better with civ4 coming out.

                      Someday...

                        It's a decent game, certainly worth $5.

                          Good score

just a short bus trip away i have one of those grungey computer exchange stores, sells secondhand hardware(its where i got my Geforce2MX from so i could run medievalTW) and games for all platforms. The only downside about it is that you suffer a certain ammount of ear bleedage, as they play hard and loud music to give it ambiance. long may it continue

We've got one of those in Leeds, but the trouble is that it's chock-full of all the games that people of taste would take back to exchange, and none of the games that only idiots would return.
