I personally prefer Spike's wording ... but it's not that different, except for anal-retentive hangman players technicalities ... his is clearer imo.

"The appropriate number of guesses are made" is not nearly as clear for a newbie, and leaves open the implication that it's talking about letters and not words. I think Spike's is more clear.

Why am I taking Spike's side in an argument anyway, against you ... you're going to argue against it regardless of the opinion. :P
