I dunno, I had 4 missile launchers and they did the trick. And I don't think you can collect the debris around your own planet

It's horrible to be drifting in the dark like this. One opens up the slot for computers or something, and suddenly it;s 600 Deut + an x amount of metal or chrystal

Yes you can! But you'll need the recycle-ship (probably waaay down the tech tree)

and 4 missiles against 4 fighters is NOT bad!

I sense this will take a while to get anywhere outside the atmosphere, around what point would you suggest synthesizing deuterium?

Right now my gameplan is to push metal mining and solar plant buildings with a bit of crystal mining occasionally, but I'm not really sure when it would become worthwhile to mine Deuterium.
