LOL@Rules, I went back and looked for the rule on bolded votes and editing guesses and couldn't find anything........when is the last time a GM put the rules in the first post of a mafia game?

Having said that, I agree with your point, but please don't quote the "rules".

I would like for James to clarify what he means however about the other games forum "living up to its reputation". Seeing as the OG forum is where I spend most of my time on Apolyton now (given that Civ2 is dead/dying ) I would like to know what he doesn't like about OG

I have spent many an hour here with Paddy's brains trust playing hangman, and being hung out to dry by several of the more efficient players when our "guesses" did not meet their criteria.

Always good to see university educated people putting down 5 and 7 year olds for the letters they think fit.

Then we have the matter here, no rules posted, and when someone makes the effort to get his vote in on time, it is not accepted, even when this method it clearly accepted in other forums here on the Apolyton Civilization Site.

Duke o' York was not the mafia. For the record, what made you think he could be the mafia? He couldn't have poisoned Grouchy in the first round as he was nowhere near the Smurf village then.

Chapter 5 – How do you poison the cook?


Gargamel didn’t even have the time to start to enjoy his newly acquired position. He was soon accused of Scaredy’s murder by many.

“Damn Azrael, I should have just kept the low profile. Now, instead of me killing the Smurfs, the Smurfs are gonna kill me”, Gargamel said.
“Meow”, Azrael replied with indignation.
“Take this Azrael!”
Gargamel gave his cat a piece of paper with something written on it.
“On that piece of paper I’ve written down the formula that will change us back to normal. If I’m killed make sure that formula is mixed and you drank it.”
“Meow”, Azrael acknowledged.

And Azrael indeed remained alone as the Smurfs voted that Magician Smurf was responsible for poisoning and sentenced him to death. Gargamel was forced to drink some of the poison he prepared for Hefty’s execution.

Later that day the Smurfs wanted to organise a large dinner to mark the execution of Magician Smurf. Baker Smurf was supposed to prepare the food for the banquet. The time for the dinner approached and Clumsy Smurf went to check on the progress because the other Smurfs were already starting to get restless. Looking through the kitchen, he found Baker Smurf with his head in the sack of flour. He was another victim of poisoning.

I looked back over the story and found this 'sleeping' theme featuring in the poison chapters.
