Rome: Total War with The First Triumvirate mod v1.75. Right now I'm kicking Parthia's butt playing as Crassus. Much fun. Next I'll probably play the Caesar campaign, or maybe Vercingetorix. Not enough hours in the day...

I have the plain vanilla version of Morrowind (Xbox), is the Goatee version worth it?
In a word yes, but both myself and my gf have noticed its a bit more prone to locking up than the origonal. Still in my current game i'm lvl40 and have only had a few crashes, i've been using a new method of obsesivly cleaning up after me all the time.
ie when i kill something i use the white button to remove the corpse(and take all the items) - i also have been clearing out completely all the dungeons i go into(plates/forks/cups etc). And i keep my displays in my houses to a minimum. The theory behind all this is to reduce the ammount of memmorizing the computer has to do(and fix the crashes), and so far its seems to be working
But yes there is alot more extra stuff in the GOTY edition, if you think you might need it on top of Morrowind
I forgoet some other games i'm playing too:
GBA - Ecco the dolphin+Golden Axe
PC2 - Medieval TW viking invasion,EU2
There probably are a few more that i still occasionaly play, but well its still too many

im impressed by how many folks are playing 3 or 4 or more games. My time commitments, and the all devouring nature of EU2, dont allow for that.
Most of you seem to be playing PC games mainly. But then this IS a civ website.
Lots of popular recent releases, it seems. A LOT of people seem to be playing Guild Wars.
Harvest Moon sounds like fun - but not enough to get me to buy a Ninento thingie. I presume theres no PC port? Or anything similar on the PC?

There is a perfectly legal way to play console games on your PC, provided you legally own the game. It's called emulation.
An "emulator" is a small program that interprets the code of the console file so that your PC can play it. For the Game Boy Advance (I'm playing the GBA version of Harvest Moon), you can find such a program here.
Be aware that this program comes without games. I do not know how to make your GBA cartridge (the game) into a PC file however. You might want to look for more info on emulation on google, and you'll probably find more tips about it.
In any case, ever since I discovered emulation (especially for the SuperNES), a whole new world of gaming had been open to me

Nintendo make some really nice kid/girl games, harvest moon is one of them
I'm torn between which version i like better - the Game Cube Harvest Moon looks great and from that point of view is more engaging, but the GBA version has alot more detail to it and i like its complexity over the GC version. Both version are very chill, and make a nice change from all the graphic violence in most modern games imho.

i love this game(and violence ) - sadly i'm still as bad at it as i used to be playing it in the arcades. The good news is at least it doesn't take all my pocketmoney these days
