Morrowind is supposed to be good for mods. But I dislike mods. They just don't feel like the game how it's supposed to be played.

I used a custom mod (actually, 3 over various times). The main one was to increase the gold of certain merchants, simply because I didn't feel like waiting 24 hours before being able to sell to them again. Creeper I set to 100,000 and still managed to have more items to sell to him than he could buy. I did this to ensure certain types of items were all sold to the same merchant incase they were needed for later quests.
The other two mods were just fixes to let me finish quests the way they were intended rather than the way they were programmed.I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

I agree. Morrowind is very similar to real life in many ways. There are some people who make interesting, original comments. Most people, though, just recycle the opinions of others with a slightly different wording.
I've got Morrowind, but have barely played it. My friend, on the other hand, spent over 80 hours playing the Xbasket version and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'll be going back when I've got through the enormous backlog of RPGs I've got.

@Carlos, If you like open games you are free to explore in, then you should like it well enough.
And you can take Dr.Spikes naughty comments about people who like Morrowind and their dubious game preferences for what it is
Keep an open mind, expect to have to work to get the best out the game(rather than have things spoon fed to you like a baby) and enjoy how long you could be playing this game for - its an extremely rare experience these days
Its also full of interesting bugs, just a heads up'The very basis of the liberal idea – the belief of individual freedom is what causes the chaos' - William Kristol, son of the founder of neo-conservitivism, talking about neo-con ideology and its agenda for you.info here. prove me wrong.

One of the most important though (IMHO), is a rather small mod that gives you the ability to cast the 'recharge magicka' spell, or rather to enchant it into an item.
