What about all the mass-carnage in all the dozens of war game FPS's? Head-shots with blood and rag-doll physics, dismembered bodies?
I gather the 'sex' in this GTA Mod, while not graphicaly explicit, did it in a vulgar style? I wouldn't have a problem with a game dealing with sex if it was tastefully done(think of the children etc). But pimp style is a bit much for a minor?
Still all the excesive graphic violence must be next on the list of the lobyists? Especialy as we approach photo-realism with next gen consoles? Do i really need to see the bones and organs sticking out a person i've just chain-gunned to death?
(think of the children again)
I find it is food for thought atleast, and am more concerned on the violence rather than an obscure sex-mod.
Still what can the rateings do when a recent survey has shown that parents still pay little attention to game rateings(they had an article in this months Games TM magazine http://www.gamestm.co.uk/pm/2 - not a link to the article as its in the printed form only).
With the next-gen consoles i expect we will see many more actions by lobyist groups on these issues, for better or worse.
So developers might end up with a large printed message across the wall of their design room, with the simple message - "Think of the children" or not
GTA-SA will sell even more copies now off course.
