I'm back playing my dwarf for a while. I can't find a group for the dungeon I want to do on SS.

The servers are going down like flies today. I had to stop playing on Perenolde because it was just impossible.

I played on the new server, Greymane, today. It's fun being on a new server. You might as well roll on that Verto, it's less crowded and I am going to form my own guild.

(that's the level 60 power, but spell can be obtained at rank 1 @ L44)

Jeezus, that's more dmg than an Earthshock with longer range and less mana cost. Same cooldown as well.

Earth shock and frost shock are instant cast (you can cast while running), this spell is 1s cast time (must stop for 1s)...

Earth shock does 517-545 damage vs 504-556 for the Paly spell...
Frost shock does 486-514 damage vs 504-556 for the Paly spell...

Earth shock also is a spell interrupt and prevents any spells in that class from being past for 2s, the Paly spell has no such feature.
Frost shock causes an 8s snare effect.

Further, both earth and frost shock can be used at any time, while this spell is only while the target has < 20% hp.

It really grates on me when Shamen, of all classes, complain about this spell. Spoiled brats...

Plate is near useless against everyone but rogues and warriors. Plus, due to diminishing returns of armors its not nearly as effective as you may think.

Plus, when you think about it, all that "defensive" stuff is rather pointless when you can't do any damage and people can run from you with 100hp and get away with it.

Earth shock also generates a massive amount of hate which makes it "the" spell for pulling a mob the healer.

I am the MT totem dropper on Onyxia (and any other raid bosses) for my guild. During phase 2 I build up a massive amount of threat by chain earthshocking my way through 2-3 powerbars, so that the big snake comes for me at the start of phase 3 and thus close to the MT. Means I get chainhealed for a few seconds though, quite scary.
