Spore/Sim Everything...

What a gorgeous looking game Spore promises to be. I don't think I'll enjoy playing it much though. Probably be like the Sims 2: great for the first week or two, and then utter meh.

I guess EA don't care though. As long as you buy their game, they don't care that it sits on the shelf gathering dust.

likely it'll appeal to the same audience that still plays the original "the sims" religiously. i just want my Ents.

Key points - as a civ you can Fight, or culture convert, or do diplomacy.

As a planet you can explore, trade, colonize (fight?)

I found two videoes on gametrailers, but both trailers have 95% gameplay footage in common. The first trailer shows "a lot" of talk (no news there, don't bother listening unless you have no idea what Spore is about)
This is the second trailer, which shows the most gameplay footage (and no interruptions)
