That new Spore video is unbelievably good. I was starting to cool towards Spore, but now I'm drooling.
Pity my computer won't be able to do it justice. I refuse to get a new setup just to play a single game, espeically since Civ IV runs quite well. Civ IV should remain entertaining for the next ten years or so.

What are your computer specs? The game uses procedural programming, so it may not be so intensive as say Doom 3.be freeComment

Nah.
Video cards are heavily optimised to handle textures.
Spore doesn't use pre-rendered textures (bitmaps).
I imagine your computer will more than satisfy the requirements.
