rah's not daft enough to think that by killing Spike first time round then the amount of "enthusiastic posting" in the thread would drop. It's far more likely to be someone like Nog.

duke o' york for the block Peter.

It would be nice to last longer than I did last game.

OK, time for a real investigation.

First who ordered those garments from late Garak?

Well, one of the customers is obviously a woman since we have a satin nightgown among the items ordered. This still doesn't mean anything. It only means that a woman must have visited Garak shortly before his death.

Another item is a raincoat. But who would need a raincoat aboard a space station. Well, naturally someone who is a visitor here and will soon return to a place where it rains constantly. That place is the Ferengi home world. So the person who ordered the rain coat is a Ferengi. Still this doesn't mean that person actually killed Garak.

Third clue we have is a method of killing. An ear drill was used. Who would have access to this particular item? Who has big ears? Well a Ferengi of course.

Now this is a little bit more convincing. All these circumstantial evidence seem to point to one person here and that be Ishka, Quark's mother. She is a modern Ferengi and unlike other Ferengi females likes to wear clothes, satin clothes. Second, she likes to go out, to appear dressed in public, hence the raincoat. And finally, she uses the drill to massage her earlobes so she had the means and the opportunity to kill. The problem here is the motif.

This analysis does seems to point more to alva than anybody else, but other Ferengi characters, particularly those who reside on Ferenginar such as Spaced and Lord Nuclear are also plausible suspects. After all, the satin nightgown could be unrelated to the murderer. Two items of clothing might have been ordered by different persons. The raincoat was not found so it is a fair assumption that whoever took it also killed DrSpike, hence the killer would definitely be a Ferengi.

It is all very simple. DrSpike is against plurals in Hangman. Ljube and Jonny are for plurals. The motive seems clear.

Ah yes, the hangman dispute motive - one of the oldest and most fundamental, alas.

Sorry for Spikie. As for a suspect, it's always hopeless so early in the game to point at anyone really. Unfortunately, we have to vote, so I say alva and trust ljube.

Hmmmm, after his lengthly analysis, did he even vote for anybody, or was he lacking conviciton.

                    I guess I shouldn't poke the bear since I think I'm a Ferengi.

But then it's only a game.

I did not accuse alva just yet. Any other Ferengi could have done it.

I did think it was strange that the captain, duke o' york knows so much... who'll do the log if he gets killed - that is, if he *ever* gets killed, hmm?
