I agree, not all cities grow, indeed, many shrink. Camden, NJ in particular is shrinking at a rate that in a few years it will no longer be a city.

1,000,000 is a medium sized city, 100,000 to 1,000,000 is a small city.
Las Vegas only has about 900,000 peopel within city limits (not including suburbs). I'd like you to come here and say it's not a city as you sit in traffic for hours.Comment

2 million is quite a bit. That's about average for a city actually. Not too many cities exceed 4 million.
If you want to live in NYC, Mexico City, or Tokyo go right ahead. I don't want to live there.Comment
